The aim of this study is to investigate the father-daughter relations and the concept of paternal function in fibromyalgia which is commonly observed in women by the projective test of Rorschach Test with the concepts of the theory of psychoanalysis. The most commonly diagnosed symptoms of fibromyalgia are widely spread pain and profound fatigue without the presence of any organic lesions. The fact that it is mostly seen "ensestuel" father discourse in this female patient. For this reason, from this "ensestuel" father discourse, the starting point of the study has been the concept of the "ensestuel" and the "paternal function". The procedure was carried out in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine with 1 volunteer woman patient. The demographic form, the psychoanalytically oriented interview and the Rorschach Test were conducted with the patient. The applied materials has been analized in detail according to the French School of the projective methods by the content analysis used with Rorschach Test. As a result of the evaluation process, in the protocole of the patient primarily the concept of the "ensestuel" and the "paternal function" has been found out to be effective and playing an important role with the father- daughter relationship in fibromyalgia.
