The aim of this study is to evaluate the changes that might take place in the personalities due to the changes in the ego functions of MCI and AD patients before and after the psychodynamic group psychotherapy. The sample consists of two MCI and one AD patients. Psychodynamic group psychotherapy lasted for one year, twice a week. The participants were 65, 71 and 89 years old. Rorschach test is used as pre and post test. Results of the study show us that MCI and AD patients are much more attached to the objects and human beings and an increase in controlling is seen after the study. They have improved by taking the control in global instead of their detailed view before the treatment. The holistic look is a valuable development in terms of being able to prevent the psychological disintegration of patients. Amnestic MCI and early AD patient have improvements by having non-frightening superegos and increase in their answers in colors and actions. MCI patient is the one who has benefited mostly from the psychodynamic group psychotherapy, vascular patient has shown a small difference and started to accept his impulses. Early AD patient couldn?t avoid the deterioration but her capacity to understand the things in holistic look was a point to think that the study could help her to delay and/or slow down the ego destruction.
