According to psychoanalytic theory, drives emerge into consciousness by connecting to affects and thoughts. In this study, the evaluation of drive, thought and affective organization of individuals with borderline functioning with the T.R.I percentage is discussed. T.R.I percentage is a concept found in the Rorschach test and is obtained by dividing the number of human movement responses by the total color and Clob responses. While human movement responses express investment in thought, color responses express affects. In the study, the color and movement responses in Rorschach protocols of 35 patients with borderline functioning who were admitted to the psychiatry outpatient clinic were discussed. These protocols were interpreted by psychoanalytic content analysis specific to the French school. In 26 of the protocols, the number of color responses is higher; in 7 of them, the number of human movement responses is higher; and in 2 of them, these numbers are equal. It has been observed that people with high color and Clob response numbers have intense affective discharges, live impulsively, do not attach much importance to the objective, and experience their internal processes in an overflowing way. On the other hand, it has been observed that in protocols with high movement response numbers, human forms are distorted, fragmentation anxiety intensifies, and the instinct and affect of the patient in borderline functioning are used as a tool to reflect these problems rather than organizing them.
