The article which covers the meanings of the concepts of different psychoanalysts regarding ?elderly?, ?uncanny?, ?eternity of the moment?, ?eternal moments?, ?active aging? and ?passive aging? is looking at the relationship of ?elderly? and the possible reappearance of ?fear of death? which is repressed in all lives of human beings in terms of Freud?s (1919) ?uncanny? concept definition. The inclusion of the actual and past mourning studies in the psychic treatment of elderly is suggested as preventive for elderly from the ?uncanny fear of death?. The healthy mourning period requires the lost object to be defined and gained meaning by being handled through ?verbalisation? of the ?thing representations? and by letting it withdraw gradually its investment from the object. This makes it necessary for the elderly to mourn about their losts and shortcomings. In another words; it is a first step to speak out ?fear of death? and all the other things lost, anxities and fears so as to make a concious meaning by connecting the ?thing representations? with ?words?. In this way, the story of the elderly will gain a meaningful meaning through the words and will turn into a whole story which could be told about. This topic is presented by a case example of an elderly in ?fear of death? in a psychoanalytic group psychotherapy.
