In the face of concepts that are called by different names in psychoanalysis, such as border states and white psychosis which meet in a very similar definition in terms of psychic functioning, we can say that Lacan?s explanations on paranoid structuring approached this psychic functioning close to neurosis, even though he did not define a separate structure between psychosis and neurosis categories. According to him, in neurotic structuring -which we can think of as an outward reaction- the symptom appears as a return of the traumatic experience as a representation from the unconscious with a deviation, whereas in paranoids, which is a more fragile and nonrepression psychic structure, the unconscious deviation is located. It leaves the experience and the associated representations to freeze and hold (verhaltung). With the concept of ?verhaltung?, Kretschmer states that there is a conscious involvement of hyperemotional representation groups with a vigorous intrapsychic activity and a defective behavioral capacity, and he calls the group that uses this psychic mechanism as ?sensitive? (as cited in Quinet, 2020). It is also reported that these people have a very high capacity to be affected by emotional stimuli and are prone to behavioral defect as they have difficulty in regulating their behavior. These sensitive people are unable to discharge affectively at the time of the traumatic event due to verhaltung, and the representations of this event are kept in the psyche as a dull moment. According to Lacan, on the other hand, the representation of the traumatic event frozen in every compulsive encounter and the unpleasant affective state associated with it are constantly reproduced in the consciousness and tried to be staged. This may lead to a phenomenon such as the introduction of the traumatic in each new card, especially in the Rorschach Test, and the blurring of the distinction between the self and the other regarding the passion for oneness.
