This is a case study describing findings of an assessment of narcissistic personality disorder with depressive disorder with depressive symptoms using the Rorschach test in psychoanalytical terms. A 28 years old male patient with suicidal ideation was admitted to hospital, and then referred to a psychiatric clinic for further assessment . The same day, the patient, undertook a Rorschach test, who denied any active suicidal thoughts. Test analysis revealed a narcissistic personality structure with underlying depressive features and anti depressive defenses. An insufficient differentiation of the superego was noted specifically.
